01. Yondu is basically my own character at this point. His portrayal on this blog is primarily MCU based, but takes a lot of inspiration from various other sources - namely 616 comics and a healthy dose of my own headcanons! You can consider him an amalgamation of every Yavager Yondu in marvel right now. This means I am familiar with his comic story, so 616 characters are always welcome!
03. Communicating with me? Kind of a nightmare. I'm sorry! I try really hard but I can sometimes go entirely nonverbal, forget I'm talking to someone entirely, or just plain forget to log in! It's absolutely nothing personal towards you, and I know it can be incredibly frustrating. Please bare with me.
02. As of 13/01/2023, this blog is active again! I'm back from a two year long absence, so please bear with me while I try and get back into the swing of things!
04. Suggestive themes, violence and mentions of abuse and slavery are likely. Everything will remain tagged and under a cut when necessary, and I do not plan to rp blatant smut on here in the future.
NAME: Yondu Udonta.
AGE: Old.
SPECIES: Centaurian.
GENDER: Male by earth standards, but he doesn't really understand the concept.
SEXUALITY: Pansexual.
OCCUPATION: Captain of a Ravager Clan, pirate, all around scoundrel.
LOCATION: Anywhere he can make a profit.
Yondu was sold into slavery by his parents at an early age. He grew up as a kree soldier, and was rescue by Stakar Ogord at the age of twenty. He went on to join the ravagers - eventually getting command of his own ship. Unfortunately, his faction ran into financial difficulties and rather than ask Stakar for help, Yondu chose to take a job from Ego. He kidnapped Ego's biological children and delivered them to him, a job that broke the ravager code. When Stakar found out about this, Yondu and his faction were kicked from the ravagers - Yondu was on his own.Except for Peter Quill. Yondu chose not to deliver Peter to his ffather and instead kept him around, adopting him as his own son. Years pass, and soon enough Yondu is facing Ego again: this time to save Peter from his grasp. He teams up with the Guardians of the Galaxy to save the universe (after facing a mutiny from his crew) and helps save the universe. He almost dies, but manages to wake up months later entirely alive. He reunites with Stakar, officially rejoins the ravagers, and starts building a crew all over again.Then the snap happens. Yondu is left with half his crew and spends the next few years searching for a way to bring back his family. Every so often he would team up with Rocket to help out, but mostly stuck to himself. When the snap was reverse, Yondu reunited with his family and picked back up where they left off.
MAIN. The blog's main verse, were all new interactions are placed by default. Follows the information on the about page. Yondu's crew in this verse certain characters/ocs/muses, and these characters will be mentioned in replies! This is also the verse in which the majority of Yondu's character development has taken place, so he will not be as similar to canon as in other verses.
MONDU. Yondu is married to Merle Dixon (@drtywork). They have a home on earth, as well as an adopted daughter named Hannah (@soleiltm). Extensive, lore filled, "Yondu meets a human and falls utterly head over heels, gets married and starts a family" verse. Fun and silly and available upon request!
BROKE THE CODE. Pretty much anything that happens between Yondu getting kicked out of the ravagers and saving Xandar at the end of volume 1. In this verse, Yondu is in an on/off relationship with Pink Diamond (@wasdiamond), don't ask.
DIDN'T DO NONE OF IT RIGHT. When Yondu was rolling with Stakar and the gang! Before he met Ego and got banished from the ravagers, but after he was rescued from the Kree by Stakar. Yondu is in his twenties, trying to figure out who he is and what he wants.
